Classification of synthetic rubber and its application in the production of rubber boots
- Oct 18, 2018 -

Synthetic rubber production is not limited by geographical conditions. According to the performance, range and quantity of synthetic rubber, it is divided into two categories: general synthetic rubber and special synthetic rubber.

According to the chemical structure, olefins, diolefins, and elemental organics can be classified.

There are many methods for classifying synthetic rubber.

By finished product status

Can be divided into liquid rubber (such as hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene), solid rubber, latex and powder rubber.

According to the formation process of rubber products

It can be divided into thermoplastic rubber (such as triblock thermoplastic styrene butadiene rubber which can be repeatedly processed), vulcanized rubber (which needs to be vulcanized to obtain finished products, most synthetic rubbers are such).

Other non-rubber ingredients filled with raw rubber: can be divided into oil-filled masterbatch, carbon black masterbatch and lignin-based masterbatch.

In practical applications, it is divided into two categories: general-purpose rubber and special rubber. General-purpose rubber refers to a rubber that can partially or completely replace natural rubber, such as styrene-butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene rubber, etc., and is mainly used for manufacturing various tires and general industrial rubber products. General rubber is in high demand and is the main type of synthetic rubber. It is also widely used in the manufacture of various functional waterproof boots.

Special rubber refers to rubber with high temperature resistance, oil resistance, ozone resistance, aging resistance and high air tightness. Commonly used are silicone rubber, various fluorine rubber, polysulfide rubber, chlorohydrin rubber, nitrile rubber, polyacrylic acid. Ester rubber, urethane rubber and butyl rubber, etc., are used in the production and use of safety boots, mainly for special occasions requiring certain characteristics, chemical safety boots, anti-virus boots, military boots and other special industrial protective boots.

Important varieties are styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, neoprene, polysulfide rubber, urethane rubber, polyacrylate rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber, silicone rubber, fluoro rubber, butadiene rubber, and different Ethylene rubber and ethylene propylene rubber. It is a raw material commonly used in rubber boots factories.
