First, the principle of protection
Electrically insulated shoes are insulated by the sole so that when subjected to a specified AC or DC voltage, the shoe resistance can reach a path that blocks dangerous currents flowing through the body through the foot to ensure that the leakage current through the human body does not exceed the human body. Tolerance range to protect workers from electric shock.
For electrically insulated shoes with protective toe and puncture-proof functions, in order to ensure electrical insulation performance, non-metal toe caps and non-metal puncture-proof pads are used. When used, the metal toe caps should be insulated.
Second, classification
1. According to the help material, it is divided into electric insulation shoes, electric insulation cloth shoes, electric insulation all rubber shoes, and electric insulation full polymer shoes.
2. According to the height of the upper, it is divided into low-voltage electric insulation shoes, high-waist electric insulation shoes, semi-tube electric insulation boots, and high-tube electric insulation boots.
3. According to the test voltage, it is divided into 6kV electric insulation shoes, 5kV electric insulation cloth shoes, 15kV electric insulation cloth shoes, 6kV electric insulation all rubber boots, 10kV electric insulation all rubber boots, 15kV electric insulation full rubber boots, 20kV electric insulation All rubber boots, 30kV electrically insulated full rubber boots, 6kV electrically insulated all-polymeric boots, 10kV electrically insulated all-polymeric boots, 15kV electrically insulated all-polymeric boots, 20kV electrically insulated all-polymeric boots, 30kV electrically insulated all-polymer boots .
Third, the scope of application
Electrically insulated shoes are individual labor protection articles that serve as auxiliary safety tools when working on electrical equipment. They are suitable for use by workers in work environments that require electrical contact, such as operators in the power industry and electrical equipment maintenance personnel.
1. According to the provisions of DL408-1991, DL409-1991 and GB26860-2011, electric insulating shoes and electric insulating cloth shoes and all-rubber boots and test shoes with test voltage of 15kV and below are suitable for power frequency below 1000V. In the working environment; all rubber boots and all-polymeric boots of 15kV or above are suitable for working environment above 1000V.
2. The power industry uses all-rubber boots and all-polymeric boots with a thickness of 15kV or more.
3. Use all rubber material boots and all-polymeric material boots in the mine.
4. Electrically insulated leather shoes and electric insulating cloth rubber shoes are suitable for use in a dry environment, not suitable for outdoor, wet and other working environments in rainy weather.
Fourth, matters needing attention
1. Before use, check whether the signs of the electric insulation shoes are complete and meet the standard requirements. The contents of the signs include:
(1) On the upper or sole of each electrically insulated shoe, there shall be a shoe size, standard number, electrical insulation type (or English EH), lightning mark and withstand voltage values.
(2) Manufacturer's name, shoe number, product or brand name, date of production, and electrical insulation performance.
2. When using electric insulation shoes and electric insulation cloth shoes, keep the upper in the working environment. Where there is corrosion or damage at the bottom, it can no longer be worn with electrically insulated shoes.
3. Electrically insulated shoes should not be damp. It is strictly forbidden to use after damp. Once damp, it should be placed in a ventilated and cool place to dry naturally.
4. When wearing electric insulation shoes, avoid contact with sharps, high temperature and corrosive substances to prevent the shoes from being damaged and affecting their insulation properties.
5. Electrically insulated shoes should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to prevent mildew and avoid oil, acid or alkali or other corrosive products.
6. From the date of manufacture, the use and storage period of the electric insulation shoes is 24 months. The electric insulation shoes exceeding the time limit should be subjected to preventive tests one by one, and can only be used after passing the test.
7. Under normal circumstances, electric insulation shoes should be tested once every 6 months, and can only be used after passing the test. If it does not meet the standard requirements, it should not be used as electric insulation shoes.
